Engagement Against
Climate Change

My motivation to engage against climate change stems from a deeply rooted understanding of the intricate relationship between humanity and our planet. Witnessing the escalating environmental challenges we face today has fueled my determination to actively contribute to a sustainable future.

Throughout my high school journey, I embraced the role of a climate activist, relentlessly striving to raise awareness and drive positive change within my school and local community.

At 17, with my classmate Ipek, presenting the actions we have taken as Head and Vice-Head of Student Council of the Lycée Charles de Gaulle for the preservation of the environment.

During my tenure as the head of the Student Council, I seized the opportunity to leverage my leadership position to spearhead initiatives that preserved nature and galvanized fellow students to be environmentally conscious. Collaborating with a passionate team, we successfully orchestrated tree planting drives on campus, rejuvenating our school's surroundings and fortifying our commitment to sustainability. Moreover, I organized regular workshops where experts in the field of environmental science engaged with students, fostering an informed dialogue about pressing ecological issues and potential solutions.

Recognizing the pivotal role of education in catalyzing change, I took it upon myself to integrate sustainability into the curriculum. Working closely with teachers and administrators, I developed supplementary learning modules that seamlessly incorporated environmental concepts across various subjects. This holistic approach not only empowered students with knowledge but also instilled a sense of responsibility towards our planet.

My dedication to the cause extended beyond the confines of my school, as I actively engaged with the broader community. Collaborating with local environmental organizations, I organized community clean-up drives, river restoration projects, and informational sessions to address the ecological challenges our town faced. The impact of these endeavors was tangible, fostering a sense of unity and shared responsibility among community members.
